With the whistle blowing, the first international freight train "Da Hong Pao" left the dry port of Wuyishan and set off for Russia. The train is carrying about $3 million worth of goods and will travel north through the port of Erlianhot in Inner Mongolia, then through Mongolia to Moscovorsino in Russia.
The 9,430 km journey is expected to take about 13 days to reach the terminal. The train has a total of 50 containers, five of which are loaded with tea.
Compared with China, the history of Russian drinking tea is not too long, but tea also occupies an important position in the Russian national culture, and is an indispensable daily necessities in the life of the Russian people. Today, Russia has become one of the world's major tea consumers and importers.
